I am a family trained mediator and I believe in Non Court Dispute Resolution, this means allowing you to make your own decisions rather that asking the family court to make the decisions for you. I am independent, neutral third party that can support you to make childcare arrangements and /or make decisions about finance and/or property. I am here to help you through disagreements and find solutions that work for you both and to explain how to make the agreement you reach legally binding, should you wish to do so.
I have taken this career path because of my own personal experience of divorce and the difficult path I had to follow coupled with the emotional turmoil, so I do have an understanding also of what you might be feeling and going through.
I have worked in the public sector since 2002 and it has led me to have an interesting and varied background which covers therapeutic counselling, customer service, complaints and project management in a range of different areas such as Housing, Public Protection, Environment, Regulation, Mental Health, Older People Services and Bereavement which gives me a varied and deep understanding of human behaviour, communication and the ability to give structure to a difficult situation, these skills helps me create a supportive, safe and empathetic environment to help clients explore their differences and options and to find a resolution that is acceptable to all.
I am equipped with the skills and experience to help people make decisions when communication breaks down between parties. I believe that mediation can help parties navigate and find lasting resolutions to ongoing disputes, as some disputes can lead to Court where a decision can be imposed on the parties involved which can also be costly.
I believe Mediation is a powerful tool and puts the decision making in the client’s hands as they know what’s best.
